The Kyokushinjutsu self-defense system is composed of three rounded methodological units: the Basic self-defense programthe Master program and armed – Kobudo program.

Basic self-defense program of Kyoku­shinjutsu elaborates the technique and tactics of defense against an unarmed and untrained attacker (“layman”). The purpose of this program is to effectively counter the practice of techniques and tactics against the physical strength and aggressiveness of the opponents. It was made for younger and older students, with the I DAN Masters included.

Master program, includes two parts of self-defense – Special forms of self-defense and  Offensive forms of combat.

Kyokushinjutsu – Special forms, elaborates the technique and tactics of defense against an armed attacker. This program includes techniques such as Tanto Dori (self defense from knife attack), Jo Dori (self defense from short bat attack) i Bo Dori (self defense from short staff attack). It was made for training of II and III DAN Mastery.

Offensive forms of fighting – elaborates defense and confrontation with a trained opponent skillful in Karate techniques or some other punching martial art. Through this program, candidates – Ju Jutsu masters of higher ranks, pass through an adequate scope of training in Karate skills, and this program is made for the level of the Masters of the IV DAN.

Third, Weapon program, called Kyokushinjutsu – Kobudo forms, is intended for higher levels of Masters, following tradition of origin style Aiki Ju Jutsu, taken as a role model, continue to practice skills of using ancient weapons such as: knife (Tanto Jutsu), staff (Bo Jutsu) and technique of throwing sharp objects (Shuriken Jutsu), in tactical confrontation to a larger number of opponents. It is intended for thelevel of  V DAN.
